Mechatronics

Mechatronics is a technical science including mechanics, control and software leading to SMART systems that are able to adapt to their environment or to user commands.

It usually consists of an active structure provided with sensors, actuators and a control loop.

Magnetic bearing and active suspensions are typical mechatronic devices.
